Yesterday I went to an urban sketching group for the first time since circa 2007, and it was awesome. I felt like a tourist in my own town, able to see Raleigh with fresh eyes and also not be self-aware about sketching in public since I was doing it in company. This architecturally enthusiastic collage of roof shapes and building materials is the Ethics Commission on Blount Street (a complicated building fit for a complicated subject, no?)
